As a self-taught artist, my journey has been one of exploration and discovery, driven by a passion for expressing the intricate stories of identity and emotion through the human face. While my style is rooted in realism, it is enriched by emotive brushstrokes allowing each portrait to tell a unique narrative through its lines, shadows and expressions.

Faces have always captivated me, serving as a window into the soul and a record of personal history. I believe that every line, every curve, carries the imprint of lived experiences, revealing a deeper story of who the person truly is. My work invites viewers to connect with the individual behind the image, to witness the power of expression and the beauty of human vulnerability.

In addition to painting, I enjoy various crafts such as sculpture, gilding, all of which inform my understanding of texture and form.
My background in furniture restoration has given me a profound appreciation for the importance of renewal and the value of things that have a story to tell. Like the Japanese practice of Kintsugi, which mends broken pottery with gold, I believe there is beauty in imperfection, a delicate balance between the old and the new and that both people and objects hold worth in their flaws, their history, and their resilience.

Although my art has only recently gained recognition , it has always been clear to me that I am meant to share these intimate, compelling stories.
